This is my very first time doing a food post like this! It’s not a recipe and I’m definitely not doing anything groundbreaking here, but I wanted to share. I’ve been enjoying Sharp Objects, a limited series on HBO based on the book by Gillian Flynn, so much! It’s a dark, moody drama/mystery with a mostly female cast starring Amy Adams. The cinematography is amazing and Amy Adams does such a good job portraying all of the emotions that come with the story.
There is A LOT of alcohol consumed on this show mostly by the main character, but also by other characters. One of the drinks I saw was an Amaretto Sour. I’d never even heard of one or tried it before, so I decided to give it a shot. I went with this basic Amaretto Sour recipe by Real Simple. I’m not good at making drinks by any means but I think it came out good, although I did add a little too much sugar. 🙂
Have you seen Sharp Objects or read the book? If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it if you like slower-paced, female-led mysteries or dramas like Big Little Lies or The Handmaid’s Tale.
