7 Shows to Watch If You Like ‘From’ on MGM+

The TV show From, currently airing on MGM+ with season 3 coming soon, is an underrated gem. Starring Harold Perrineau, it follows a group of people stranded in a remote town that they can’t seem to leave. The show blends an intriguing concept with horror and mystery elements that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

While we wait for more new episodes, I’ve put together a list of more shows I recommend checking out if you enjoy From. These shows will keep you glued to your screen, with mind-boggling mysteries and crazy plots.

1. Lost (2004-2010)

I’m pretty sure most of you have seen Lost, but it still belongs at the top of this list. The series follows a group of survivors stranded on a mysterious island after a plane crash. Starring Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Terry O’Quinn, and Harold Perrineau — who also stars in From. This show is a rollercoaster of suspense. The island holds so many secrets, and the survivors must navigate strange occurrences and dangerous encounters while trying to find a way back home. From is basically like if Lost were set in a remote country town instead of an island.

2. La Brea (2021-2024)

La Brea begins with a massive sinkhole opening up in Los Angeles, transporting a group of people to a prehistoric world. Starring Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, and Jon Seda, the series is filled with mysteries as the survivors try to navigate their new environment and find a way back home. Its blend of adventure, suspense, and sci-fi elements makes it a great pick for fans of From.

3. Dark (2017-2020)

Dark is a German sci-fi thriller that delves into time travel and the dark secrets of a small town. Starring Louis Hofmann, Oliver Masucci, and Jördis Triebel, the series begins with the disappearance of two children, leading to the uncovering of a complex web of interconnected families and timelines. Its atmospheric tension and mind-bending plot twists will captivate anyone who enjoys the mysterious and supernatural aspects of From.

4. Manifest (2018-2021)

Manifest revolves around the passengers of a flight who return home to discover they’ve been missing for five years, without aging a day. Starring Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, and Athena Karkanis, the show follows their attempts to reintegrate into society while unraveling the mystery of their disappearance. The supernatural and emotional aspects of Manifest will appeal to those who enjoy the mysterious elements in From.

5. Wayward Pines (2015-2016)

Wayward Pines follows a Secret Service agent who arrives in a small town while investigating the disappearance of two federal agents, only to discover that he may never be allowed to leave. Starring Matt Dillon, Carla Gugino, and Toby Jones, the series is packed with suspense and unexpected twists. Its eerie small-town setting and mysterious plot are perfect for fans of From.

6. Under the Dome (2013-2015)

Based on Stephen King’s novel, Under the Dome centers on a small town that is suddenly cut off from the rest of the world by a mysterious, impenetrable dome. Starring Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, and Dean Norris, the residents must deal with the challenges of their isolation while uncovering the dome’s origins. If you enjoy the suspense and supernatural elements in From, Under the Dome is a must-watch.

7. The Society (2019)

The Society follows a group of teenagers who return from a school trip to find their town completely deserted, with no way to contact the outside world. Starring Kathryn Newton, Gideon Adlon, and Sean Berdy, the series explores their attempts to establish a new society amidst the growing mysteries of their situation. The blend of drama, suspense, and supernatural intrigue makes it a perfect choice if you like From. It was canceled after 1 season, but there has been some recent talk of bringing the show back.

I think these shows are perfect for anyone who loves the suspense and supernatural mystery that From offers. Are there any more that you would recommend?
