Today at CCXP, aka the 2019 Comic Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil, Warner Brothers debuted the very first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984!
In the teaser trailer we see lots more action and fight scenes, more of the cool slo-mo shots and beautiful imagery like we got in the first movie. And we even saw some scenes on Themyscira with Diana as a child.
I already know they’ll take full advantage of the 80’s theme and throw in lots of nostalgia, just like so many other movies and shows are doing. But I’m also hoping they don’t go overboard with it. The first movie had so much heart, and I just really don’t want this one to lose that.
And then at the end we get a look of Diana in her gold armor and it looks AMAZING. This is only a teaser but the whole thing just looks like it’ll be so much fun to watch.
Also, Steve Trevor is back! Is really alive somehow? Or is he not even really there? Patty Jenkins didn’t say HOW he’s back but she alluded to him being important to the story.
1984 was directed by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot and Chris Pine of course reprise their roles as Diana Prince and Steve Trevor. Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal are new additions, as Barbara Minerva / Cheetah and Max Lord.
The movie comes to theaters on June 5, 2020. I’m super excited for this one and will be there for opening weekend! It’s gonna be another awesome year for superhero movies!
